Bog Pilgrim is a performance-based project which explores peat bogs as a potential site for spiritual time travel, preservation, and a feminine immortality, borne of my own feelings of climate despair. There is a vain human desire within me that craves remembrance, a record, proof of existence; I suspect that I am driven by the same motivation that drove Paleolithic humans to press their pigmented hands against cave walls: “We were here.”
